Racecourse

The Strathalbyn Racing Club racecourse is about 4km to the South of the town centre. Design has begun on the module which will include a step-down platform at the rear of the racecourse buildings. The step-down platform position is shown by the dark lines next to the railway line in the diagram.
The module is shown in the plan below connected at the left of the other modules.
Although the original platform was a timber sleeper side-walled earth fill platform located at the southern end of the structures and extending further out, it is produced on the module as a step-down type near the centre of the building structures for illustration purposes and fitting in convenience (anyway, a step-down platform is more interesting to view). An earth ramp, even further out, was used for horse loading and unloading.

Base made, track down and wired, balsa step-down platform made.

After an extensive delay of 3 years, progress has at last been made on the buildings.
The module is now finished (at last). Track ballasted, buildings painted, ground cover added,
and a static grass wheat field added with a 3D printed fence surround to highlight the field.
Plastic pipe used for the stairways for the main building as too intricate to model correctly.
